Getting pregnant again after pregnancy is not recommended by experts for at least two years so that you can take more care of your baby and rest your body. Therefore, protection for mothers during this period is very important. There are various methods available to protect against pregnancy. However, the important point here is to choose the healthiest one for the mother and baby.

The use of contraceptive pills should be postponed for a while!

The benefits of breast milk are obvious. While nourishing the baby by protecting it against diseases with the protective substances it carries for the baby, breast milk that strengthens the bond between the mother and the baby also protects the mother against the conditions that may develop. Controlled contraceptive pills are drugs that postpone pregnancy for a while with the hormones they contain. It is possible to prevent pregnancy at high rates with regular contraceptive pills. When the use of the drug is stopped, the ovulation pattern can return to its former state in about three months. The estrogen hormone in birth control pills can reduce the amount of breast milk. Therefore, according to the doctor's recommendation, these pills should not be used for several months after childbirth.

  • Condom use
  • It not only protects against pregnancy but also protects against diseases that can be found sexually in both people. The failure rate is very low.
  • Tubal ligation
  • This method, which can be applied immediately after cesarean section or vaginal delivery, is performed with a small incision in the navel area. It is a permanent method. If it is not applied immediately after birth, it can be applied by laparoscopic surgery at the end of the puerperium period.
  • Spiral
  • The spiral method can be performed immediately if the mother has given vaginal delivery and her placenta has come out. When it is not applied immediately after birth, it can be worn immediately after the puerperium period. If the mother gave birth by cesarean section, she should wait at least four months for the spiral method.
  • Vasoctemia
  • The vasoctemia method, the equivalent of the tube connection method in women in men, can always be applied to men.
  • 3-Month Injections
  • Because it contains only "progesterone," they do not cause any harm to breast milk. At the end of the puerperium, mothers can safely choose this method.
