Istanbul Okan University

Founded by the Okan Culture, Education and Sports Foundation in 1999 with the vision of “The Closest University to Business Life”, 26 thousand students are studying at Okan University today. Okan University, founded under the leadership of Bekir Okan, an industrialist and entrepreneurial businessman who has made successful investments in different sectors of the business world for nearly 50 years, is a significant education base with more than 250 diploma programs in 9 Faculties (Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Faculty of Medicine), School of Applied Sciences, Vocational School, Vocational School of Health Services, Conservatory and 3 Institutes.

Okan University not only provides quality education but also prepares its students for the future in the most equipped way, in the educational journey that started with 85 students and today has reached 26 thousand students in its 19th year. Furthermore, offering a strong foreign language education infrastructure allows its students to learn Chinese, Arabic and Russian in addition to English.

At Okan International University (OIU), which was established in Miami with the international experience of the Okan Group and the power of Okan University, students who are placed in Okan University can attend the English Language Preparatory Class at no additional cost. Providing education with undergraduate, graduate and distance education options, OIU accepts students from all over the world and offers its students the opportunity of an international experience. In addition, the International Student Exchange Network (ISEP), in which Okan University is included for the first time from Turkey, allows students to receive free education by choosing one of more than 350 universities in 50 countries.

While Okan University prepares students for graduation with the "Career and Life Lesson", "Happy Life Program", and the "Entrepreneurship Lesson" launched for the first time in Turkey, it ensures that this process is carried out by gaining experience in Turkey's most influential companies with its comprehensive internship program within the scope of the "Business Life Preparation Program".

Okan University, which brings its students together with quality education at Tuzla, Mecidiyeköy and Kadıköy campuses in Istanbul, has started to provide education at Bahçelievler Campus since 2016.

Having established the Health Sciences Education Complex and bringing together the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Health Sciences and Vocational School of Health Services under the same roof, Okan University provides practical and job opportunities to its 4000 students studying in the field of health. Students can work with robot patients at the Simulation Center in only two universities in Turkey.    

Okan University, which offers its students the opportunity to take their theoretical courses and on-patient clinical training at the Faculty of Dentistry Training and Practice Hospital located in Mecidiyeköy since the 3rd grade, launched its second Dental Hospital in Tuzla in 2017.
