Orthopedics and Traumatology

Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology deals with the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders. The entire musculoskeletal system comprised of limbs (arms and legs), spine, pelvic bone, all joints, bones, muscles and related tissues (vessel, nerve, spinal cord) fall into the practice field of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic.

State-of-the-art devices are used for the workup of patients in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department of Okan University Hospital, and medical or surgical treatment is decided in line with detailed workup and physical examination. Patients are treated and informed about all processes by physicians in our hospital, where scientific and technological advancements are closely followed up. Sports injuries of ligaments, meniscus and cartilages and dislocation of the shoulder as well as rotator cuff injuries are treated with arthroscopic methods in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology. Thus, patients are enabled to engage in sportive activities in the shortest time possible.

  • Shoulder surgery

The shoulder is one of the most complex areas in orthopaedics, and it may represent the origin of important problems, especially in athletes and elderly patients. Shoulder problems are solved by qualified and expert physicians.

  • Hip surgery

Surgical treatment of pediatric and adult hip disorders is addressed here. Injuries of athletes, congenital hip problems and hip fractures are treated, and prosthetic and revision surgeries of the hip are performed by experienced physicians.

  • Wrist and hand surgery

Physicians of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic treat all pains, injuries and fractures of the hand and wrist in addition to difficult surgeries such as replantation.
