Prof. Ozan Seymen Sezen M.D.

Prof. Ozan Seymen Sezen was born in Ankara. He graduated from Istanbul University's Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine in 1993 and became a doctor of medicine. He is married and has a daughter.

In 1996, he passed the specialty in medicine exam and started his residency for ENT and Head and Neck Surgery. During his residency, he gained experience by working on the anatomy, diseases and surgery of the ears, nose, throat, neck and face. In 1998, he worked in the ENT-HNS clinic of the University of Michigan, which is considered to be one of the best educational clinics in the United States.

In the year 2000, he finished his residency and became an ENT and Head and Neck Surgery Specialist. In 2001, he started to work as the Chief Assistant at Kartal Dr. Lutfi Kirdar Training and Research Hospital's 1st ENT-HNS Clinic, where he is still working today. During this period, he's been constantly providing scientific, practical and surgical training to assistant doctors, and also giving ENT-HNS courses and practical trainings to medical students.

In 2007, he received training in rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery from leading surgeons in the field of rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery in the United States.

In 2010, he passed the ENT qualification exam and obtained a certificate of qualification. In 2012, he passed the required exams and became an associate professor of ENT. After a series of written and oral examinations in 2012, he was awarded the European ENT and head and neck surgery qualification certificate.

In 2013, he was appointed as a trainer to the ENT Clinic of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital. He resigned from this position and started to work in the private sector in order to serve his patients in a better environment.

Prof. Sezen has several scientific studies articles published in local and international ENT and Head and Neck Surgery journals.

Prof. Ozan Seymen Sezen is particularly interested in facial aesthetic and plastic surgery, especially cosmetic nose surgery, snoring and sleep apnea surgery, ear diseases and surgery, and sinus diseases and surgery. Throughout his professional career, he has performed many more endoscopic sinus surgeries, snoring and apnea surgeries, rhinoplasties, oral and laryngeal cancer surgeries, and ear surgeries than the average ENT specialist. As of April 2019, he has been working at Istanbul Okan University Hospital, Department of ENT.
