Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Güven

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Güven completed his medical education, which he began at Ankara Gülhane Military Medical Faculty in 1986, in 1992. After completing his service as a base doctor at the 5th Main Jet Base in Merzifon/Amasya from 1993 to 1995, he returned to Ankara - GATA for specialization training.

Dr. Güven completed his specialization in Pediatric Surgery at GATA Pediatric Surgery Clinic from 1995 to 1999 and became a Specialist in Pediatric Surgery. After working as a Specialist Doctor at GATA Pediatric Surgery Clinic from 1999 to 2000, he worked as a Pediatric Surgery Specialist at 600 Yt. Air Hospital Etimegut/ANKARA from 2000 to 2005.

In October 2005, he went to the United States, New York State, Albany, and worked with Prof. Dr. Barry A. Kogan in the Department of Pediatric Urology at Albany Medical College for a year to increase his knowledge and experience in the field of Pediatric Urology, participating in surgeries and clinical studies.

After being appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at GATA in December 2006, he received the title of Associate Professor in April 2010. He worked as a Pediatric Surgeon at GATA from 2006 to 2017. In May 2011, he also earned the title of Pediatric Urology Specialist. From 2017 to 2018, he served at Istanbul Private Silivri Medical Park Hospital for nearly 2 years.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Güven provided services to patients at his private clinic (Ethical Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology Clinic) in Bodrum/Muğla from 2018 to 2022. Starting from September 2023, he is serving in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Istanbul Okan University Hospital.
